We are starting work on two 36 X 48 canvases today. Our plan is to get some video footage of the painting process.  I have camera and tripod ready for a first attempt, there is a possibility that i will have a custom painted tripod and camera at the end of the day.

Our focus for this seasons paintings is for more detail in each canvas.  By that I mean, multiple bursts in a vision of expanding galaxies.  An experimental canvas was created at the last of the season, almost destroyed, and has been accepted into the family of Rifleart paintings.  The larger canvases give the opportunity to create more detail.  Sarah becomes the factor in pacing, reminding me to slow down, the discussion continues as we mix paint this morning.  The large canvases demand this slower pace, one that is hard for me to adjust to.  All Rifleart painting preceding the Spacescape series were done in four brushstrokes.  It is Sarah's influence, with her intuitive color choice, and her slow down attitude, that has made the Spacescape series so dynamic.  We will post photos and film as they become available.
